Astrological Charts & Readings

I've been formally studying astrology since 2019 when I took a course at California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS) based around Richard Tarnas's book "Cosmos & Psyche".  Since then, I have taken several courses to deepen my understanding of the connection between the celestial and the terrestrial. I have been offering readings such as natal chart interpretations, synastry reports, and transit calculations since 2022.  I practice primarily archetypal astrology (based in Western astrology) and my process requires leaning into the experience we have of the aspects as they sit within one's body. It is an act of unifying thoughts and ideas with sensations and intuition. From my readings I hope there is a sense of clarity, validation, and a better understanding of the underlying drives and predispositions that generate our habits. I wish to share my knowledge and help people feel inspired to realize and actualize their (full) potential.
~ what is within, surround us ~
"This relation of the Self to all surrounding nature and even the cosmos probably comes from the fact that the "nuclear atom" of our psyche is somehow woven into the whole world, both outer and inner." — C.G. Jung (Man and His Symbols)

~ as above, so below ~
"Quod est superius est sicut quod inferius, et quod inferius est sicut quod est superius"
That which is below is like that which is above, and that which is above is like that which is below

This is an example of one of the print out formats you will receive from a reading.  I utilize Western astrology's placidus and sidereal formats, though I can adjust to Whole House if you prefer.
Unfortunately, I have yet to venture into Vedic astrology (though I want to!). As I understand it, the difference is that Western astrology focuses on the year: season, times of the month, and fixed positions of the sky. Vedic astrology holds true to the physical constellations that surround us. It is a matter of preference.

What about the skeptics?

When I started my astrological journey I would say, "It's not that I believe in astrology, it's just that it reflects and validates my experiences!" As I've grown into my practice (and myself) I have come to understand that it is a deeply embedded knowledge of a power beyond what the dominant paradigm can grok. Whether it is "real" or not becomes irrelevant when it inspires someone and motivates them to learn about themself. It is a tool that can help empower us as we seek to learn about our way of being and grow into the best versions of ourselves.

For me, learning that there are underlying patterns, processes, and inclinations set into the cartography of our birth chart helps me better understand my place on Earth. It helps navigate the drudgery, elucidate the tensions, or even explain the serendipity or ease of flow that I notice in and around me.

When I find myself asking, "why am I feeling this way", or, "what is going on?!", I look at how the planets are transiting my natal chart and that clarity informs my interactions with/in the world. When we can appreciate the qualitative data over the need for pure quantification, there is an acceptance or surrender required of us to have faith in the greater dynamic somersaulting cosmos in which we live. If we are unwilling to accept our subjective experiences as sources of truth, it makes sense that a person may be skeptical and/or unwilling to surrender to the unknown.

"A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart." — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ( Faust )

If it works for you, then it works for you. It needn't be more complex than that.
